The scorp is a tool used by chairmakers. These tools have semi-circular blades with an approximately 2 ¼ inch radius and a knife edge. This is the tool Mike Dunbar uses at the Windsor Institute to saddle a seat. The scorp is the second in a series of tools used by Mike to hog out shavings from a pine seat. This scorp design includes handles that are set at an angle to give a woodworker the most comfort in use. A very useful quality tool. Glenn Livingston-Maker.
